Neousys Technology today announced the launch of EDX-104, a 5-port IEEE 802.3at mobile surveillance unmanaged PoE+ switch combing IEEE 802.3at PSE/ PD capability in a fanless enclosure with IP protection.
EDX-104 has five gigabit Ethernet ports compliant with 802.3at PoE+. It can function as Powered Device (PD) with maximum output capped at 20W for single or multiple PD device connection. When it is 24/ 48V DC powered, it has a maximum output of up to 25W per port or a total maximum of 80W output with multiple devices connected.
"Neousys EDX-104 mobile surveillance unmanaged PoE+ switch is an easy-to-setup and simple solution that delivers both electrical power and data to and from devices via Cat 5e / 6 Ethernet cables. The advantages of PoE+ network include:
- Savings: Users can save on power cabling costs and with power/ data transferred via a single cable, network setup is simple and effective
- Flexibility: Device installation locations are NOT limited to power outlet locations.
- Intelligent power delivery: PoE+ is designed to protect connected devices from over/under-load, false installation, etc.
- Reliability and compatibility: Connected compatible devices are operating off an intelligent main source that can regulate power or reset device when needed.
In addition, Neousys' EDX-104 features ruggedized enclosure and has dual-power operating modes. It is the ideal solution for IP mobile surveillance, transportation, mining and other demanding PoE applications “said Chris Ni, Product Director at Neousys.
EDX-104 is designed to operate between -25 and 70°C wide range temperature and has Level 3 EMS protection to repel electromagnetic interface in harsh industrial environments. To aid in deployment, EDX-104 has a compact chassis measuring just 40 mm (W) x 92 mm (D) x139 mm (H) and it can be DIN-Rail mounted.
