Neousys Technology today launched its latest rugged edge AI GPU-computing platform, Nuvo-8108GC series. As the latest incarnation of Nuvo-6108GC, the world's first industrial-grade GPU-computing platforms supporting 250W that played a leading and vital role in the emerging industrial GPU computing sector, Nuvo-8108GC received major CPU and GPU upgrades.

Nuvo-8108GC supports a 250W NVIDIA® Turing graphics card up to 14 TFLOPS in FP32 and an Intel® Xeon® E or 9th/ 8th-Gen Core™ processor. Moreover, Nuvo-6108GC and Nuvo-8108GC have the same dimensions and bracket mounts, so if you want up to 50% more processing power, Nuvo-8108GC is an effortless upgrade for users of Nuvo-6108GC.

The latest Nuvo-8108GC provides advanced capabilities for AI-based applications and features the following characteristics:

Reliable power design
The power delivery design of Nuvo-8108GC is capable of handling a graphics card power consumption up to 250W for edge AI applications. It supports 8~48V wide-range DC input with built-in ignition power control; making it feasible to be deployed on a vehicle and directly power it via the vehicle’s electrical power system.

Proven thermal design
Neousys GPU computing platform series has patented thermal design for true wide-temperature operation (* R.O.C Patent No. M534371). The effective heat dissipation design ensures Nuvo-8108GC operates reliably under 100% load up to 60°C without CPU/ GPU throttling.

Vibration and shockproof
Nuvo-8108GC comes with patented damping brackets (*R.O.C Patent No. M491752) and it can withstand up to 3 Grms to protect the system against vibration when deployed in an in-vehicle environment. The system is also compliant with the MIL-STD-810G standard.

Rugged connectivity
The system has front-accessible GbE and USB 3.1 Gen2/ Gen1 ports that feature screw-lock mechanisms for securing cable connections, making it ideal for in-vehicle and harsh industrial environments.

Expandability for versatile applications
The combination of Intel® Xeon® E or 9th/ 8th-Gen Core™ processor and a 250W NVIDIA graphics card mean Nuvo-8108GC is a powerful and capable GPU-aided computer. To further expand its functionalities, Nuvo-8108GC also features two x8 (4-lanes) Gen3 PCIe slots for add-on cards, 1x M.2 M key, 1x M.2 B key and 2x full-size mini-PCIe sockets.
