In an industrial environment, in addition to deploying industrial-grade embedded computers, to ensure 24/7 operation or data safety, you also need a steady power supply for consistent operation.

However, deploying a UPS in an industrial environment is a tremendous challenge, the main reason being the ambient and operating temperatures. The tradition UPS using standard batteries to provide over 30 minutes or operation time after the loss of power but the ambient temperature can reach up to 50°C or higher, beyond the operating temperature of traditional batteries. Though the traditional UPS provides slightly longer power backup time but it cannot guarantee data integrity by initiating a proper shutdown before completely depleting the power.

Neousys supercapacitor power backup module addresses issues faced by the traditional UPS. It can operate in wide temperature range up to 65°C. Also the inclusion of the patented CAP Energy Management Technology can maximize the utilization of the supercapacitors and power consumption via real-time monitoring to initiate a proper shutdown, ensuring data integrity in the process.

Benefitting from Neousys' effective thermal design, the NRU Series is truly fanless and wide-temperature operation capable. While NVIDIA's Jetson developer kit can complete your proof-of-concept and bring products into mass production, you may however still encounter other challenges when deploying your system into the field, such as low/ high temperature, dust, vibration, irregular voltage, the need for ignition power, function expansion, installation space availability, etc. For your system to operate stably and reliably in the field, you may have to spend a lot of extra resources and time.

Neousys NRU series is based on the NVIDIA® Jetson platform, it is a turnkey solution that can be mass-produced. The Neousys NRU series is fully integrated with Neousys DNA characteristics, such as true fanless wide temperature operations from -25°C to 70°C, wide-range voltage input, and stable operations in shock and vibration environments. NRU series support industrial USB, GigE, IP, or GMSL cameras, 10Gb Ethernet, and various I/O interfaces for sensor connectivity. It also features ignition control, CAN bus, DIO, and mini-PCIe socket expansion for wireless communications to accommodate in-vehicle and mobile robotics applications.

The Neousys NRU series can be seamlessly implemented into your solution as we've already eliminated most of the challenges for you. Such as field deployment environment conditions are no longer limiting factors, and when you need additional connectivity for peripherals, the NRU offers plenty.
